Follow me on a year long journey exploring coding in Canadian schools. This video is a part of the requirements for my MPED Capstone project at Western University.
This documentary will recount a full year in review from my perspective (and recording on my phone) and will explore the grassroots coding movement across Canada from British Columbia to Nova Scotia and beyond.
As per the requirements of the Capstone project, this video will fit the creation and implementation format which encapsulates my learning over the course of one year with regards to the perception of importance of coding from teachers, parents and students across Canada.
The project will conclude with a reflection on the documentary’s inclusions, omissions, uses, affordances, and constraints.
If you are planning on passing through Ottawa please come by. I have Intermediate students Learning code with Code.org, programming Spheros and mentoring Primary and Junior Students at our school and another neighbourhood school
