To begin, I had to disassemble the Pac Man toy. I was careful not to break any wire but it happened nonetheless. Good thing I know how to solder! When the toy was taken apart, I noticed the board was labelled with the inputs which made it simpler to reassemble inside an iCade.

After stripping the iCade, I gave it a nice sand and a fresh coat of paint. I extended the wires using regular speaker wire and attached them to the appropriate locations on the game board.

The monitor was a great deal. I picked it up online for a great price and was impressed by the number of inputs it supports. For this project, I used the standard composite cables that came with the Pac Man game.

Have a look at the demo below, there wasn’t much to this project. Certainly doable during Genius Hour!
